Boeke is Secretary of the World Congress of Faiths (www.worldfaiths.org)
and minister of the Unitarian Church of Horsham, West. Sussex,
UK.
Dr Boeke studied Church History at Yale under Professor
Roland Bainton (Bainton is the author of a biography of Servetus,
HUNTED HERETIC). After serving as a U.S. Air Force Chaplain,
he served Unitarian Churches in New York, Florida and California
before moving to England. Over 100 of his articles have been
published in Magazines ranging from DHARMA WORLD to THE SEA
OF FAITH.
He is currently preparing a publication on FIDEOLOGY, the
study of faith as trust starting from the work of Professor
Wilfred Cantwell Smith, FAITH AND BELIEF, THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
THEM. Dr. Boeke is chairman of FIDEOLOGY 2004, a WCF and IARF
Conference at Croydon, U.K., 13 Nov 2004.
